The Nike Adapt Auto Max made its big debut in March, complete with powered laces, voice control, and customizable lighting.

Now, we’re just a few quick weeks away from the shoes being a reality in your collection.

The tech-infused sneakers use Nike’s auto-lacing Adapt technology, most recently seen in the Adapt BB 2.0. This marks the first time its been used in an Air Max-inspired silhouette. These futuristic kicks marks one of the biggest moves on the technology front for Nike and their beloved Air Max shoe – the brand’s most popular shoe since they were first introduced in 1987.

Not surprisingly, quantities of the anticipated sneakers are extremely limited.

The Nike Auto Max features the same “Infrared” colourway of the Air Max 90 on its heels and midsole. This is complemented by the lightweight Wolf Grey mesh, a silver signature swoosh, and a silver tongue. The midsole features a visible Air Max unit and the buttons to control the Adapt self-lacing technology.

The shoe retails for $400 USD and will be available for purchase – to those lucky enough to score a pair before they sell out – in May 20 at Nike.com and through select retailers.
