Toronto Raptors esports team wins first ever Sportsnet 2k broadcast
While all major sports leagues are still on hold, networks have begun airing epsorts.
Sportsnet will now air the official NBA 2k league every Tuesday night.
This is the first time the league has ever hit the broadcast airways.
Raptors Uprising took to the screens on Tuesday night to sweep the 76ers GC 2-0.
Uprising is the official esports team for the NBA’s Toronto Raptors.
The Uprising are comprised of six players who are quarantined together in a house during the pandemic.
The broadcasts are five-on-five play in a best-of-three format throughout the spring and summer.
Matches will be aired on Sportsnet and on ESPN in the U.S. Matches are also broadcasted on Twitch and YouTube.
