To celebrate the Fifth Installment of GQ’s Best New Menswear, Designers In America, The Gap invited us to a social at their Flagship store at Bay and Bloor. Featuring Michael Bastian, Saturdays NYC, John Elliot and Steven Alan the collections felt like modern renditions of a classic brand.

Reinventing timeless classics for an audience that demands the latest trends is tough but somehow through it’s partnership with GQ, the Gap finds ways to repeatedly deliver fresh cut basics built for the modern man. This year’s collection featured tailored trousers and denim, overcoats, leather jackets, classic tees and sweatshirts, sweatpants and a variety of button down shirts.

As much as I loved each of the designer collections, the collection that stood out for me was the John Elliot collection which featured some really active silhouettes made to withstand a brisk Canadian fall and winter season. The full GQxGAP collection is on sale as of September 27, 2016 or you can a curated version below.

Peace,

Mr. Burke
