Toronto Blue Jays 3 Atlanta Braves 4

The Toronto Blue Jays were unable to walk away with a win Thursday night against the Atlanta Braves.

The Braves took the three game home stand two games to one over the young Jays.

In a hard fought game Toronto’s out of sync offence could not get the job done Thursday night.

Torontos Nate Pearson got his second major league start for the Jays on Thursday.

Pearson pitched five innings giving up three runs on two hits while striking out five Atlanta batters.

The Blue Jays young pitcher had trouble with his control in his second outing.

Pearson struggled with his slider on Thursday night making for a less than stellar performance.

Toronto upon replacing Pearson realized that Jacob Waguespack had been left off the lineup card, making him ineligible to pitch.

Touki Toussaint started on the mound for Atlanta, pitching six innings while striking out nine Toronto batters.

Toronto’s batters struggled with Toussaint as he kept the Jays scoreless until exiting in the sixth inning.

Toronto would get some run support in the seventh thanks to a Bo Bichette home run but Torontos offence went silent again after that.

Atlanta would walk it off in the ninth inning on a Nick Markakis home run off of Blue Jays reliever Wilemr Font to seal the deal for Atlanta.

With the loss Toronto falls to 4-6 on the season putting them in fourth place in the AL East.

Torontos next matchup will be against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park in Boston on Friday night.

Game is set to start at 7:30pm EST.
