The Toronto Blue Jays hit six home runs on Friday night in their rout of the Tampa Bay Rays.

Torontos offence exploded on Friday night allowing the Jays to run up the score on the Rays.

Rowdy Tellez, Randal Grichuk, Bo Bichette, Cavan Biggio, and Teoscar Hernandez all hit home-runs on Friday night.

Six out of, Toronto’s ten hits against the Rays were home runs.

Toronto has now hit eleven home-runs in their last two games.

The Blue Jays sent Tanner Roark to the mound on Friday. Roark went four innings giving up 3 runs on 4 hits while striking out 4.

Torontos relief pitching was solid as the Jays gave up just one run after Roark’s exit in the 4th inning.

Starting on the mound for Tampa was Trevor Richards.

Richards pitched four innings giving up 3 runs on 4 hits with 3 strikeouts.

The Rays could not get much going against the Jays on Friday night.

Tampa was held to just five hits in the contest.

Historic Night for Bichette

Bo Bichette has become the first short stop to hit for an extra base hit in seven straight games since 1920.

Bichette is just the third player in MLB history with 38 extra-base hits in his first 59 games, joining Joe DiMaggio (46) and Cody Bellinger (38).

With the win Toronto improves to 7-9 on the season.

The Jays now sit in fourth place in the AL East, three games ahead of the Boston Red Sox.

Toronto will continue its series with Tampa Bay on Saturday night.
