Toronto Raptors 107 Miami Heat 103

The Toronto Raptors are now 2-0 inside the NBA bubble.

After a big win against the L.A. Lakers in their first game on Saturday, Toronto doubled up taking down a great Miami Heat team on Monday.

Toronto started out hot, taking a six point lead into the second quarter.

Miami responded in the second and third keeping it close throughout in a hard fought contest between the two playoff teams.

In a game that came down to the final few possessions, Toronto was able to out last the Heat thanks to some great guard play for VanVleet.

The Raptors got a huge performance from Fred VanVleet in the scoring department on Monday afternoon.

Steady Freddy had a career high 36 points on Wednesday adding 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

VanVleet hit seven of his twelve threes in the game and was monumental coming down the stretch.

Toronto held Miami to just thirty per cent from behind the arc on Monday.

The Heat who are the number one three point shooting team in the NBA were stymied by Torontos smothering defence.

The Raptors shot fifty percent from three in the game and forty percent from the floor.

It was not all good for Toronto as they had 21 turnovers against Miami.

But Toronto’s solid defence was able to overcome the turnover problem.

Toronto now has a 3.5 game lead over the 3rd place Boston Celtics in the eastern conference.

Firmly planting the Raptors in the second seed for the upcoming playoffs.

The Raptors next game inside the bubble will be against the Orlando Magic.

Orlando who sits in the seventh seed right now could potentially be the team Toronto faces in the first round of the playoffs.

The Raptors will square off with the Magic on Wednesday night at 8pm EST.
