Toronto Raptors beat the Utah Jazz on the Road 101-92

The Raptors closed out their western conference road swing with a win Monday night over the Utah Jazz.

The Raptors at the end of a long road trip and on the second night of a back to back were able to get it done.

Taking down the fourth seed in the western conference Toronto was impressive in the win.

This is Toronto’s fourth win in a row, making them 4-1 on their road trip.

The Raptors played well despite Marc Gasol and Fred VanFleet being out with injury.

Toronto also lost Norman Powell to an ankle injury in the first quarter of Monday’s game.

Led by Pascal Siakam, Serge Ibaka, and Kyle Lowry Toronto dug in and pulled out the victory.

SIakam finished the game with 27 points 11 rebounds while adding a career high 8 assists.

Serge Ibaka also added 27 points while pulling in 13 rebounds.

In a team high 43 minutes Kyle Lowry finished the game with 21 points 7 assists and 5 rebounds.

The Raptors ended the game Monday night in Utah on a 16-5 run to close out the Jazz.

Toronto out rebounded the Jazz 53-34 grabbing 14 offensive rebounds in the contest.

Defence was the key to victory for Toronto as they held the Jazz to just 92 points on the night, while keeping Utah’s big scorers in check.

Utah’s all-star guard Donovan Mitchell had just 11 points in the game, shooting just 4-16 from the field on the night.

Leading scorer for Utah was Joe Ingles who finished with 20 points off the bench for the Jazz.

With the win Toronto now has a three and half game lead over the Boston Celtics for second in the east.

This was a very impressive road trip for the Raptors.

Toronto won four out of five games while dealing with injuries to key players.

The Raptors have been flying under the radar for most of the season but this team is a legitimate threat come playoff time.

Toronto will now head home for a much needed break.

The Raptors will not play until Saturday night when they take on the Detroit Pistons and former Raptor head coach Dwayne Casey.
