The Blue Jays improved to 3-2 on the season Tuesday night with a win over the Washington Nationals.

In the second game of a four game series against Washington, Toronto looked sharp.

Toronto was able to manufacture five runs in the game on only seven hits.

With all that surrounds the MLB among COVID-19 concerns, a young Jays team has done a great job of staying focused.

With the win Toronto keeps themselves in the conversation in the AL East.

Toronto now sits tied for second place with the Yankees and the Orioles.

Guerrero Jr went yard in the second inning taking Washingtons starting pitcher Austin Voth over the fence.

Toronto got a great start out of Tanner Roark who pitched five innings giving up just three hits while striking out five.

Teoscar Hernandez continued his hot hitting since being called up to replace Bo Bichette on Monday.

Hernandez went 1-4 at the plate with an rbi.

Washingtons starter Autin Voth pitched five innings giving up four hits while posting two strike outs.

Seven pitchers were used in Tuesday’s game by Nationals manager David Martinez.

Toronto will now look for another win in the series with Washington on Wednesday when the two teams will clash again.

The game is scheduled to start at 6:05pm EST.
