Toronto Blue Jays 1 Tampa Bay Rays 2

The Blue Jays six game win streak was snapped on Saturday night.

As the Jays and Rays went into extra innings at Tropicana Field for the second night in a row, Toronto was unable to seal the deal.

A pinch hit late in the tenth sealed the victory for the Tampa Bay.

Kevin Kiermaier who was on the bench all evening came in with runners on in the tenth.

Kiermaier hit a line drive deep into the opposite corner to walk it off for the Rays.

Tampa has been Torontos achilles heel this season.

Toronto has a record of just 3-8 against Tampa Bay this season.

Hyun-jin Ryu started on the mound for Toronto on Saturday.

Ryu pitched well going six innings strong giving up just three hits and one run while recording six strikeouts.

Tampa sent starter Aaron Slegers to the mound.

Slegers went four innings giving up no hits no runs, striking out five Toronto batters.

The Jays offence struggled in Tampa on Saturday. Manufacturing just five hits on the night.

Randal Grichuk who has been the hot hitter for Toronto went 0-5 on the night.

Cavan Biggio was the lone Jay with an RBI on Saturday.

With the loss Toronto now falls to 13-12 on the season a respectable record considering the struggles the Jays have had so far this season.

Toronto currently sits in playoff position as they are in third place in the AL East just one game in front of the Baltimore Orioles.

The Jays will look to pad that lead over Baltimore on Sunday when they take on the Rays for the final game of the three game set.

Game is set for 1:10pm EST.
