Toronto Blue Jays 1 Tampa Bay 3

The Blue Jays are now in a win or go home scenario after a game one loss.

Toronto lost game one of the AL Wild Card on Tuesday night against Tampa.

The Jays got a strong pitching performance from Matt Shoemaker who pitched a strong three innings giving up no hits.

Robbie Ray also performed well out of the bull-pen.

A.J. Cole would give up two runs in the seventh to seal it for Tampa at Tropicana Field.

Toronto was in tough as they faced former CY Young winner Blake Snell in game one.

Snell pitched five innings giving up just one hit while posting nine strike outs.

Torontos bats were no match for Snell in game one as just four Jays were able to muster a hit.

It was a forgettable game for Toronto.

The Jays had six days to prepare for game one but will now have just 24 hours before facing the same Rays in game two.

Tyler Glasnow will start on the mound for Tampa in game two while Toronto will send Hyun-jin Ryu.

Ryu has been Toronto’s best starter this season but Glasnow is no slouch. Toronto is in tough if they hope to keep their season alive.

The Jays will hope to get a long start out of Ryu in game two in hopes to save the bull-pen for a potential game three matchup.

Toronto will face off against Tampa in game two of the AL Wild card at 4:07pm EST.
