Chicago Bulls 92, Toronto Raptors 93
It was certainly not the prettiest of victories for the Toronto Raptors, but the 93-92 success on the road against the Chicago Bulls has brought an end to their recent winless run.
The Raptors headed into the game off the back of a defeat against the Philadelphia 76ers in their last outing.
The NBA champions were held to a 30-30 draw after the opening period and then had to fight back from a two-point deficit at half time to win in Chicago.
They made this up in the third period to level the scores going into the fourth. Then, the Raptors managed to score one more point than the Bulls in the final period.
It was pretty uninspiring, but the win was all that the Raptors needed to end their recent skid.
The Raptors were led by 22 points from Pascal Siakam. Norman Powell and Kyle Lowry scored 17 and 11 respectively, while there was also 11 for Serge Ibaka and 10 for OG Anunoby.
The Bulls were led with 20 from Zach LaVine, while Daniel Gafford scored 14. There were 13 points for both Denzel Valentina and Lauri Markkanen.
Toronto were poor from beyond the arc as they only managed to score on 24.1% of their efforts. The Bulls managed to score on 26.1% of theirs. The Raptors also ended with a 69.2% success rate from the free-throw line, which was their worst return in ten games.
Toronto are back in action on Wednesday evening when they welcome Kawhi Leonard back to the Scotiabank.
