Toronto Blue Jays 0, New York Yankees 1

The Toronto Blue Jays couldn’t avoid another defeat as Mashario Tanaka was in inspired form.

The Yankees ended a losing streak against the Jays in a pretty unentertaining match that finished 1-0.

New York had a lot of trouble in overcoming the challenge laid down by Valdimir Guerero Jr as they needed 15 pitches and foul balls.

He was made to feel like a hero for his effort in the game as he was given a standing ovation when he was finally removed.

The Japanese Tanaka was the star as he led off with a hit to the right.

The only run of the game was eventually scored through a combined effort from Brett Gardner and Gio Urshela.

It was a disappointing result for the Jays, but pride should be taken. Especially in the case of the performance from Guerrero.

Peace,

Burke.
