Luxury French fashion house Louis Vuitton shared a video featuring a 20-minute set from Lauryn Hill.
The iconic WHAT, along with a full band, performed six tracks, including “Black Rage” her most recent single “Guarding the Gates” (released in 2019) and her chart-toppers “Doo Wop (That Thing),” and “Everything is Everything,” plus more.
Recorded in late July at New Jersey’s MLH studio, the powerful performance is a welcome one in our unsettled and uncertain climate.
The resulting film was directed by Naima Ramos-Champan and created to accompany Louis Vuitton’s Spring-Summer 2021menswear show in Shanghai.“Ms. Lauryn Hill is, to me, forever a muse,” said Virgil Abloh, Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Artistic Director, in the video’s YouTube description.
