Varsity Jacket – Your Versatile Bet
Once considered staple college wear, the varsity jacket is now popular even amongst young professionals. I really can’t ignore these sporty jackets with their ribbed collars, ribbed cuffs and thick, rounded hems. I have curated this classic preppy fall look with a varsity jacket from the GAP, a United Stock Dry Goods pair of jeans and Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers.
My GAP jacket is comprised of mostly wool (60 percent), which gives it a smooth texture and is breathable. I like the bold, solid navy color of the jacket. The jacket also impresses me with its simple design and modest fit.
Also referred to as a letterman jacket, I don’t have to think twice before sporting a baseball style jacket whether I am hitting a sports bar with friends to watch the Blue Jay’s game or going to the park with my kids. This beauty is one versatile piece of men’s clothing I look forward to wear a lot this fall.
