During NBA All-Star Weekend, snkrbox by Jason Burke had the luxury of participating in a gallery show curated by renowned Canadian Photographer Naskademini and his brother Marcus Troy.

Located in a hidden gallery space in Toronto’s, hipster laden neighborhood of Queen West, Naskademini in partnership with Shopify,

WeOpen transformed the space into a rendition of his high school bedroom complete with hip hop posters from the 1990’s, a curated collection of hip hop magazines and hip hop artist promotional cards from his father’s collection.

For snkrbox by Jason burke, the installation was an opportunity to showcase a select few gems of sneakers collection that included A Bathing Ape, Air Max 95’s, Air Jordan 1’s, Air Jordan IV’s and Converse amongst of local brands like Community 54 and start up Pintrill.

On Friday night of the exhibit, I spoke with Marcus about my experience in the global streetwear game enroute to Future and Jose Baptista’s kick off parties. With so much heat in the city, I decided it was only appropriate to get a jump on spring and opted to dawn a white Strellson Suit coupled with a pair of white Vans for the night.
