Maple Leafs signed two draft picks to entry level contracts.

In a small move during the season postponement, the Leafs have signed two of their young draft picks.

Defence-man Filip Kral and Kristan Rubins have both agreed to entry level contracts.

Kral who was the 149th pick in the 2018 draft by the Maple Leafs has agreed to three year deal.

At just 20 years old Kral the left shotted defence-man from the Czech Republic played the last three seasons in the WHL.

Rubins who is also a left defence man is a un-drafted player out of Latvia.

The Leafs signed Rubins to a two year deal. Rubins has played the last two season with the Marlies in the AHL.

Toronto is in need of help on the d-line and after a injury plagued season on the blue line this signing makes sense.

Only time will tell if these signings will make a difference in the future, but it never hurts to have insurance.
