Boston Bruins 4, Toronto Maple Leafs 2

Brad Marchand scored twice in the third period, including the winner, as the Boston Bruins defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-2 on Friday evening.

Charlie Coyle had a goal and an assist, while Zdeno Chara provided the rest of the offence for the Bruins. Tuukka Rask made 29 saves for Boston. The victory snapped a 0-2-2 slide.

Kasperi Kapanen and Auston Matthews replied for the Maple Leafs. Toronto got 30 saves from Frederik Andersen.

The Leafs have now dropped four games in a row, with the last three setbacks coming in regulation time. This comes off the back of three straight victories.

Toronto had beaten the Bruins 4-3 in overtime at the Scotiabank Arena on October 22nd. They visit the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday, while Boston are at home against the Washington Capitals.
