Martin was widely considered to be the best hitter in this years draft.
Teams will always be willing to pay for players who show they can hit.
In 16 games this spring, Martin batted .377/.507/.660.
Martin is expected to be named to the Blue Jays’ 60-man player pool, where a decision on his defensive position is likely to be made.
The versatile 21-year-old was selected as a shortstop but mostly played centre field during the pandemic-shortened season.
