Before test driving the Jaguar XE, I couldn't see myself driving a Jaguar. In a matter of seconds, that changed and as I look to buy my next car I've become very interested in the Jaguar XE and the @jaguarcanada line up of cars.

The change in perspective for me occurred during the @landrover Art of Performance Tour.
.
.
Experiencing the vehicles first hand, sitting in the drivers seat and pushing the car to the limits reminded me that until you fully experience what a product has to offer (like my Widex Unique) you never fully know if it's the right fit for you.

Turtlenecks aren't normally my thing but this one for @outclass_attire had me in the mood. Paired with these leaf print @redwingheritage boots I was feeling the love for our cities urban landscape.
.
Like the Jaguar XE, this Limited Edition look is about performance and precision vs speed. To ensure I got through the course with the best time, my driving instructor was able to communicate instructions to me through the bluetooth connection in my Widex Unique while I drove through precision cones.
.
Being first in and on point has always been a thing for me and having the right tools help me accomplish a level of performance I'm accustomed too.

Focus, has never been a challenge for me.
.
I've also been able to manage multiple disciplines and focusses at the same time.
.
Hearing loss has challenged my ability to focus because I exhaust so much effort trying to hear and understand basic sounds.
.
Wide Unique has changed that for me with a series of digital tools that enable me to engage like I have in the past. With my focus back, I'm able to be highly productive again.
.
As the year comes to a close, I am increasingly more focussed on my goals for next year with the idea that smashing them will be an understatement and go unheard.

When it came to my fitness routine I went back to basics.
.
First, I ignored anything related to my weight or figure and instead opted to audit my own personal fitness level. It only took a couple of exercises to realize that no matter what I've done, where I've been or how fast I was going, without a regular routine, I would be starting all over again.
.
The thing I love about strength and conditioning training @formefitness are the group circuits. The mixed gender groups are a social, fast paced and anti-meathead way to train that I enjoy most especially because they are portable.
.
I look forward to the long climb of restoring my lifestyle back to what it was. Anyone who knows me understands that the bigger the challenge the more I tend to enjoy it.

I have to admit, losing my hearing was scary at first.
.
.
It took time before I would completely understood the impact hearing loss would have on my overall lifestyle.
.
.
From everything like the sports I play, my style, my confidence and what I do for work, hearing loss has played a factor in everything I do.
.
.
One thing I learned is a person with hearing loss like mine might have to work 10x (like me) to 1000x more in order to hear the same sounds normal hearing people take for granted.
.
.
To combat this, I found myself back in the gym @formefitnessgym with Chris and Marty. I chose Forme Fitness because the brothers know the level of performance I hoped to achieve and how to work through life challenges of this magnitude.
.
.
In a matter of weeks the boy's helped me pull it together physically and reminded me how important it is to measure myself against only me and my own personal bests.
.
.

We never played against each other but we had play dates growing up with each other.

I tout Greg Francis as the best shooter ever to come out of Oakwood Collegiate.

It was always a beauty to see him on tv and when he left for the US, I remember sitting on the edge of my seat cheering for him during march madness.

It's not uncommon for Canadian players to be on NCAA rosters these days plus a host of local sites like @atbnews @onpointbasketball @soleshift @northpolehoops do an incredible job of breaking and tracking new CDN talent.
.
.
To rise to the top you need drive, motivation, the right tools and sometimes a stroke of luck.
.
.
Being connected by Bluetooth with my Widex Unique was the stroke of luck I needed to capture and restore the sound of fresh @jumpman23 on the court during NBA All Star.

I was born in "the six" but went to high school outside of the city.
.
.
Peterborough or "the patch" as we called it was home to the Kawartha Classic and P.C.V.S. our home school.
.
.
The tournament each Yr was the only time I got to see my cousin @breclarke who played at Runnymede and take our annual whooping by the East Commerce squads that included Mark Hunt and Jamal Maglore.
.
.
As city champs and some other champs (fact check please @foodnkickz ?) I always found it interesting how the Toronto dudes never took the small schools seriously until they came to our small town and heard our fans.
.
.
I mean we all grew up wanting to be like Mike, we all copped his first sneaker drops in sequential order before retro's were a thing but for some reason the players from "the six" remained deaf to us small town players.
.
.
As a jr and football player first, I made my sr high school basketball team by shutting down the championship game against a cross town rival by talking trash to all their fans.
.
.
The crowd threw so many raisins at me, the game had to be stopped until the floor was swept clear for play again.
.
.
I wasn't in the locker room that night but as the story goes, the impromptu time out was what our boys needed to get focussed mount a come back and bring home the championship.
.
.
I believe in community, greatness and not letting small obstacles like fans or fans with raisins get in the way.
.
.
The sport of basketball as I know it has no vanguard, no keeper of the culture because Mike touched the heart of kids from big and small cities alike and in doing so elevated the game to global levels.
.
.
Losing my hearing has been like having some raisins thrown at me but now outfitted with my Widex Unique I feel a shift in momentum and I love the feeling of what comes next.
.
.

I've been super introverted when I meet new people the last few years because I don't know how well I'll be able to communicate with them and I've had to recalibrate my body language.

I met HOTO in January at the @nike #BringYourGame training experience.
.
.
He was younger than me, stronger than me and faster than me but was super personable and up to be challenged on a physical level.
.
.
The moment he realized I take my Widex Unique out on the court, as training partners we began communicating in an "on-court" language that I'm super familiar with making it easy to build a connection.
.
.
