Toronto Raptors beat Golden State Warriors 121-113

The Raptors are the second team in the eastern conference to clinch a playoff birth this season.

Toronto went into Golden State for a rematch of the NBA finals Thursday night and came away with the victory.

In the second game of their western road trip Toronto came out strong.

Led by Norman Powell and Kyle Lowry the Raptors outlasted the Warriors who welcomed Steph Curry back to the lineup last night.

Norman Powell had a career night Thursday, posting a career high 37 points in 38 minutes.

Powell has been playing very well since his return from injury.

Lowry finished the game Thursday night with 26 points and 10 assists.

Toronto was heavily out rebounded against the Warriors giving up 14 offensive rebounds.

The Warriors out rebounded the Raptors 52 to 39 in the game.

Rebounding has been an issue for Toronto with Ibaka and Gasol out of the lineup.

Will the rebounding has been an issue Toronto has still managed to get victories.

A true testament to the depth and experience of the side as well as the ability of the coaching staff to draw up game plans that work.

The Raptors shot 48 percent from the field while shooting 31 percent from three.

Steph Curry was strong in his first return to action since breaking his hand earlier in the year.

Curry posted 23 points 7 assists and 7 rebounds in 27 minutes of play.

Canadian Andrew Wiggins played well against the Raptors posting 21 points and 9 rebounds in the loss.

The Raptors have now clinched a playoff spot. With a record of 44-18 Toronto currently sits in second place in the East.

Toronto will have to continue its winning ways in order to hold on to that second spot come playoff time.

The Raptors will continue their road trip Sunday night against the Sacramento Kings.

Tip off is 9pm EST.
